ABOUT OUR OLIVE OIL

Q: Where is your olive oil produced?

Our oil comes from our family’s single-estate grove in Lucca Sicula, Agrigento, Sicily. The olives are grown, harvested, and pressed entirely on the farm.

Q: What varieties of olives do you use?

Biancolilla and Nocellara — two historic Sicilian cultivars known for their smooth sweetness, gentle nuttiness and clean peppery finish.

Q: Is your olive oil organic?

Yes. Our oil is Certified Organic (ICEA – IT-BIO-006) and produced without synthetic chemicals or artificial irrigation.

Q: Is your oil filtered?

No. Our oil is 100% unfiltered to preserve flavour, aroma, and natural polyphenols.

Q: When is the oil harvested?

Early harvest: October–November, when the olives contain the highest antioxidant content and brightest flavour.

ABOUT OUR ALMONDS

Q: Where do your almonds come from?

Our almonds are grown on our family’s hillside groves in Lucca Sicula, alongside the olive trees.

Q: Are the almonds organic?

Not certified organic — but naturally grown without synthetic chemicals, on small family land.

Q: Are the almonds raw or roasted?

They are raw, unsalted, unroasted and sun-dried at the grove.

Q: What do the almonds taste like?

Sweet, nutty and aromatic with a soft buttery crunch.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Q: Do you ship across the UK?

Yes — we ship nationwide using tracked delivery services.

Q: How long does delivery take?

Usually 2–5 working days, depending on your location.

Q: Is the olive oil packaged safely?

Yes. All bottles are protected with shock-absorbing materials and secure kraft packaging designed for glass shipping.

Q: Do you offer international shipping?

Not at the moment — but this will be introduced soon.

STORAGE & QUALITY

Q: How long does olive oil last?

Best within 18 months of harvest and safe up to 24 months if stored well.

Q: How should I store the olive oil?

Keep in a cool, dark place, away from heat and sunlight.

Q: How long do almonds last?

Best within 12 months if kept cool and dry.

Q: Does the olive oil solidify in cold weather?

Yes — this is natural. It will return to liquid at room temperature.

ORDERS, RETURNS & CUSTOMER CARE

Q: Do you offer returns?

Due to the nature of food products, we can only accept returns for items damaged in transit or sent in error.

Q: My bottle arrived damaged — what should I do?

Email us with a photo at flavoursofsicily@outlook.com and we will replace it immediately.

Q: Can I send a gift?

Yes. At checkout you can add premium gift presentation (kraft box, raffia filler, and story card).

WHOLESALE & TRADE

Q: Do you supply restaurants, delis or shops?

Yes. Wholesale and trade enquiries are welcome.

Q: Who is eligible for the 10% discount?

All NHS staff and UK teachers are eligible through our verification partner.

Q: How do I get my discount code?

Q: Can I use the code more than once?

Yes — the discount can be used on future orders, subject to verification.

Q: Can the discount be combined with other promotions?

No, it cannot be combined with other automatic discounts or bundle offers.

Q: Do you store my documents?

No. Verification is handled securely by our trusted third-party provider, and no documents are stored by Flavours of Sicily.
